Russia Best Jet Fighter - Famous Russian design bureau Sukhoi is reportedly working on a completely new fifth-generation fighter jet: a light fighter capable of flying faster than Mach 2.
The unnamed fighter will likely complement the larger and heavier Su-57 (pictured above) and use at least some of the same parts.

The fighter would have a single engine, reduced radar visibility, "high maneuverability" and thrust vectoring capability. Sources also reported that the aircraft may be offered in manned and unmanned versions.
Why Hasn't Russia Mobilised Its Vast Air Power Against Ukraine?
Force vectoring involves the use of rotating external nozzles. Most fighter jets can only produce thrust in the direction the nozzles are pointing (the nose of the aircraft in the same plane). But a jet equipped with thrust vectoring nozzles, a Sukhoi specialty, can create pressure in different directions. This allows for incredible maneuverability - just look at what the Su-35 did at the 2013 Paris Air Show:

This skill is very useful in aerial combat, as pilots can use it to gain a positional advantage over their opponents. Adjusting the thrust vector can also shorten the fighter's flight distance because it allows the aircraft to aim its nozzles slightly lower.
Claims the new fighter jet will be "hypersonic" but also says the fighter will reach speeds much higher than Mach 2, unrelated to hypersonic speed. Russian analyst Rob Lee says the fighter jet will use the Izdeliye 30 afterburner turbofan engines that Sukhoi uses on the Su-57. An 18-ton jet with Izdeliye 30 engines would have a speed of Mach 2, but not Mach 5.

Currently, Russian state media often make extensive statements about the state of the country's defense industry, and many developments often favor vaporware. However, the BMPD analyzed a recent photo showing the nose of the new fighter jet on the desk of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. The nose is similar to the Su-57, but with an F-16-type airfoil located on the chin.
Sukhoi is reportedly developing a 5th-generation single-engine fighter jet with a weight of less than 18 tons that will use the same Izdelye 30 engine as the Su-57.https://t.co/P6qPCH2uAuhttps:// t .co /HWhNxHLRLG pic.twitter.com/BnT00LQ4H9 — Rob Lee (@RALee85) May 26, 2021
This suggests that the mystery plane used a single engine. Could this be a new Sukhoi aircraft model? Only Borisov knows.
Sukhoi, founded in 1939, is one of the oldest airlines in the world. The manufacturer produced fighter and attack aircraft for the Soviet Union during the Cold War, including the 1977 Su-27 Flanker, the Soviet response to the F-15 Eagle. Like the Eagle, Russia has continuously developed the Flanker over the decades and developed it in various forms, including the Su-33 carrier-based strategic fighter, the Su-34 bomber and the latest version, the Su- 35 Flanker. - IS."

The new fighter will occupy an important place in the Russian fighter portfolio. Russia's two fighter aircraft design bureaus, the Sukhoi and the Mikoyan-Gurevich (MiG), focused their limited resources after the Cold War on the development of twin-engine fighters. This is good for Russia, which is so big that it has 12 time zones. But single-engine fighters are also profitable - and can sell well overseas. The Russian version of the F-35 could prove popular if it were cheaper to buy and fly.
The United States plans to field the Air Force's next-generation air dominance fighter (NGAD), the Navy's NGAD, and a new multi-role fighter (MR-X). Meanwhile, France and Germany are teaming up to develop the FCAS fighter, and the UK is developing the Tempest fighter. Japan is also developing a new air superiority fighter with Lockheed Martin, while South Korea and Indonesia are jointly developing the Burama (Falcon) fighter.

The new Su-57 fighter-bomber promises to deliver five times more aircraft than originally planned by 2028. The order comes after the development of Battleground was halted and co-developer India pulled out of the project. Moscow has also offered the plane to Istanbul if Turkey withdraws from the F-35 joint strike fighter program.
The first flight of the Su-57 took place on January 29, 2010, when it flew for 47 minutes from the Yuri Gagarin Aircraft Factory in the Russian Far East. The belligerence surprised Western observers who did not know Russia was working on a new war program. The Su-57 is the first Russian fighter of the fifth generation, similar to the American F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II and the Chinese J-20. Like other fifth generation fighters, the Su-57 differs from previous generation jets in its stealth design, powerful radar, and ability to exceed the speed of sound.
The Su-57 was supposed to enter serial production by 2020, but technical problems and lack of funding have slowed progress. A major problem was the development of new engines for the Sukhoi aircraft. of the
The engine designed for the Su-57 will provide 41,000 pounds of thrust, for a total thrust of 82,000 pounds. However, the engine has proven difficult to develop and is only now being tested.

Because of these problems, only nine prototypes have been built, and until recently Moscow had committed to buying only 16 of the jets by 2027. This is in stark contrast to the original planned purchase of 400-450 aircraft between 2020 and 2040. India, which had pledged $6 billion to the project as part of a joint development program that would have allowed Delhi to buy the planes when they were completed, pulled out of the program entirely, the Slow progress and what is seen as excessive secrecy.
Now, according to FlightGlobal, Russia will buy 76 aircraft by 2028. That's enough for three full squadrons of 24 fighters each, plus four extra sprays. The purchase is due to the manufacturer's promise that the aircraft is now 20 percent cheaper for some reason. Moscow and Suki did not explain how the Su-57 suddenly became cheaper.
Russia's Most Advanced Fighter Jet Crashes, Pilot Survives
Russia, disappointed by India's downing of the Su-57, is now exhibiting the aircraft abroad. Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed Sochi to Turkey, which is involved in a dispute over the purchase of missiles with the United States. Turkey was the first major member of the coalition to develop the F-35, but recently committed to buying the long-range S-400 anti-aircraft missile system from Russia.
The US says the S-400 purchase is incompatible with Turkey's participation in the F-35 program and has threatened to pull Turkey out, and now Russia is offering Su-57 fighter jets instead of the F-35.
Another development is that, according to Russian state media, the Su-57 will be equipped with hypersonic air-to-ground missiles. Modern air defense systems make it difficult to protect hypersonic missiles flying at speeds above Mach 5. Su-57 hypersonic missiles will apparently be mounted in the fighter's weapons bay to maintain the fighter's stealth and anti-radar profile.
The Su-57 program has been in turmoil for several years, and while there are signs of progress, especially with the engines, how much it will improve remains to be seen. Russia has been forced to back off ambitious plans to equip the Russian space force with new jets, and the announcement that Moscow will buy 76 jets over eight years is not a serious threat to American security. And when the United States and its allies are working to defend Russia's air space. Only 2019 get 141 F-35.
